Elon Musk has announced plans to relocate SpaceX and X from California.

Elon Musk announced on X that he plans to relocate his companies out of California. SpaceX's headquarters will move from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas, a new company town in the southern part of the state. Additionally, social media platform X will transition from San Francisco to Austin, Texas.

Musk cited California's SAFETY Act, signed by Governor Gavin Newsom, as a pivotal reason for the move. This legislation restricts school districts from informing parents when a child expresses a desire to be recognized by a different gender. Musk criticized this and other laws targeting families and businesses, asserting that they influenced SpaceX's decision to relocate.

The move follows previous shifts towards Texas, including SpaceX's business incorporation filing in February, and Tesla's headquarters relocation from the Bay Area to Austin in 2021. Musk himself moved to Texas in December 2020.....See More
